AWANA CLUBS

AWANA stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). It is an incentive-based scripture memory ministry for children 3-years-old to 5th grade and a great way for kids to connect with each other, have fun, learn more about Jesus, and how to show His love.

AWANA clubbers work toward completing books containing memory verses and activities that build their understanding of God’s love. As they memorize scripture and complete sections in their books, they earn jewels, patches, and ribbons for their vests. Every clubber has the opportunity to be rewarded for their efforts! Clubbers also enjoy game time and a large group lesson.

At the end of the year we celebrate with all our families, recognizing the accomplishments of each child!

Children are divided into four groups and given age-appropriate materials for their age-group:

(3-4 year olds, and Transitional Kindergarten): Meeting Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:00pm

All children must be fully potty trained to participate (no pull ups).

Cubbies will receive their Appleseed book and vest the first night they attend. They all work on the same verse together each week. If they come and participate they will earn their reward. Cubbies will be lead through a fun lesson, engaging puppet show, worship time together, and small group time with activities to emphasize the memory verse of the night. Our Cubbies leaders are excited to engage with these kiddos each week.

Kindergarten-2nd grade: Meeting Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm

Sparks will receive their Flight Zone book the first night they come. Once they complete this (can take up to three meetings) they will have earned their official book and vest for the year. They then can learn verses at their own pace and complete one book a year. If they finish the book before the year is over they can then go back into the book and do bonus sections for extra rewards.

Sparks will focus on verse memorization through age-appropriate handbooks. Children will have fun memorizing scripture, playing games, listening to a lesson, and worshipping together each week! As they learn and memorize scripture and move through their handbooks, they will have opportunities to earn awards by completing sections and reaching milestones.

3rd -5th grade: Meeting Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm

T&T clubbers receive a Start Zone booklet on their first night. Once they complete this, they earn their official book and shirt for the year. They then can learn verses at their own pace and complete one book a year. If they finish the book before the year is over, they can progress to the next book.

AWANA registrations are full for 2024-2025
