Engage in Maui!
During our week in Maui, we will be coming alongside local churches and organizations who have been actively responding to the needs of those in their community. The two churches we are expected to work alongside are New Hope Maui and Living Way Church. These churches have been using their resources to provide direct care to families displaced by the fires.
We will have the opportunity to assist the community with hands-on projects like debris cleanup, reforestation, and rebuilding as well as relational ministry where we get to encourage our brothers and sisters in their faith. Now that we are eight months out from the fires. we are learning that fatigue is setting in for those who have been doing this work since last year. Through our presence we hope to encourage them in their work and come alongside them to support and love. Our prayer is to be the hands and feet of Christ and assist these local leaders in any way they need. We would love prayer and any financial support for this trip for our students and the community in Maui!
