Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Gio came to California to attend Fuller Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity. Called to Glenkirk as an assistant pastor of church planting, Gio is working with our local presbytery to plant a Spanish speaking church among the Latino communities in the area. In addition to his M.Div, Gio also earned an undergraduate degree in Theology from the Reformed Theological Seminary of Colombia. With more than 15 years of pastoral experience, Gio’s passion is to share the good news of the gospel with fidelity, meaning and clarity. He is also passionate about developing new leaders and imagining multiple possibilities for God’s mission. Gio is married to Indra Rincón, and they have two children, Matías and Sofía. For fun he enjoys watching and playing soccer, running, going to the theater, and spending time with friends and family.
