A native Californian, Tim has been pastoring throughout Southern California since 1991. After completing his undergraduate studies at Biola University, Tim earned a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology and a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Tim also has a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Loyola Marymount University. Before accepting God’s call to become Glenkirk’s senior pastor in 2018, Tim served as an associate pastor at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, planted a church in Azusa, worked as a campus pastor at Azusa Pacific University, and ministered as the lead pastor at a church in Upland. As an author, Tim has contributed chapters for The Dictionary of Everyday Theology and Culture (NavPress, 2010), Sermon Preparation (Hendrickson Publishing, 2012), and Interpretation and Application (Hendrickson Publishing, 2012), as well as articles for Preaching Today, Preaching Journal, and Worship Leader Magazine. As an adjunct professor, Tim has taught on church leadership, management, comparative religions, preaching, theology, and biblical studies at Biola University and Azusa Pacific University. Tim is passionate about communicating biblical truth in relevant, understandable ways that invite people into an authentic experience with Jesus. Married to his wife Cindy since 2012, Tim has a blended family of nine children. For fun Tim enjoys rock climbing, cooking, and kayaking.
