Over the last forty years, isolation and loneliness have become a major problem in the U.S. Last year the U.S. Surgeon General declared isolation and loneliness to be a public health epidemic. Prolonged loneliness has the equivalent health impact of smoking 15 cigarettes a day. During this five-week series we’ll look at why loneliness impacts us the way it does. And we’ll explore some biblical strategies for battling isolation and loneliness, both in ourselves and in others.
